James Wang, M.D., Ph.D., FAAN
Dr. Wang is a board-certified general and vascular neurologist in Memphis, TN. He is the founder and president of the Tri-State Neurology, PLLC. As the first medical director for the stroke center at Methodist University Hospital, he conducted various clinical trials on strokes. He received his medical degree from Wei Fang Medical College, his master’s degree from Beijing Medical University, and his PhD from University of TN in Memphis in Pharmacology. He finished neurology training at UT Medical Center and was a chief neurologist resident in 1999. He currently holds privileges in major hospitals in the Memphis area, including Methodist, Baptist, and St. Francis Hospitals.
Rada Petrinjac-Nenadic, M.D.
Dr. Rada Petrinjac-Nenadic is a board-certified neurologist in general neurology and in the subspecialty of neuromuscular medicine. Upon her graduation from the University of Belgrade, Yugoslavia (1979), she received residency training in neurology at University of Zagreb, Yugoslavia. After obtaining her ECFMG Certificate and Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada Certificate in the early 2000s, she became a Resident in Neurology at University of Tennessee, Memphis. She currently holds privileges in major hospitals in the Memphis area, including Methodist, Baptist, and St. Francis Hospitals, and joined our practice in 2008. She is fluent in English and in Serbian.
Pawan Rawal, M.D.
Dr. Pawan Rawal is a board-certified neurologist specialized in epilepsy. After graduating with a degree in Medicine and Surgery from Gujarat University (2007), he interned with the Department of Medicine and served as the Chief Neurology Resident at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (2010-2014). He then became a fellow at Vanderbilt University in Clinical Neurophysiology (Epilepsy Track). He also served as Baptist Hospital’s Medical Director of the Epilepsy Unit and has taught at UT Medical School as Assistant Professor of Neurology. He currently holds privileges in major hospitals in the Memphis area, including Methodist and Baptist Hospitals. He joined our practice in 2020.
Amber Elizabeth Adams, APRN, MSN, ANP-BC
Amber Adams is a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in neurology and rehabilitation medicine. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Boston College and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Tennessee. She has more than a decade of experience across acute care rehabilitation, outpatient neurology, and pain management, with prior experience in the Emergency Department and Neuro ICU. She manages comprehensive patient care from admission to discharge and emphasizes evidence-based, patient-centered treatment. She joined our practice in April 2025.
Denisha Blacher, DNP, AGACNP-BC
Dr. Denisha Blacher is an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner specializing in neurocritical care. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Baptist Health Sciences University. She brings 8+ years of bedside and advanced practice experience across emergency medicine, medical-surgical care, and intensive neurological settings. At Baptist Memorial Hospital, she evaluates complex cases, manages acute neurologic conditions, and performs high-acuity procedures including central lines, lumbar punctures, and intubation. She sees patients at Methodist University Hospital and joined our practice in September 2025.
Virginia Jenkins, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Virginia Jenkins is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with experience across neuro critical care, primary care, urgent care, and aesthetics. She earned her MS in Nursing from the University of Memphis and her BS in Nursing from University of Tennessee Health Science Center. She practiced as an registered nurse in the Neuro ICU at Methodist University Hospital, then advanced to a nurse practitioner role at various clinics spanning primary care, urgent care, internal medicine, women’s health, and pediatrics. She joined our practice in January 2026.
